Design type — patios
Patio and terrace concepts, in the exact spot they will be poured.
Shape, size, level and paving pattern are the four decisions a patio lives or dies on, and none of them read properly from a plan view. PlotVisionAI™ puts the terrace into a photograph of your house so the proportions can be judged against the door, the step and the lawn.
What a patio concept settles
Size is the decision people get wrong.
Patios are almost always drawn too small on paper and then built too small in the yard. Seeing furniture, circulation and a real door threshold in one frame is what fixes that. PlotVisionAI is used by homeowners and landscape professionals worldwide, and it works on any property you can photograph — anywhere in the world.
Footprint and shape
Rectangular, curved, or broken into two levels: the shape decides how furniture lands and whether people can walk behind a pulled-out chair. A concept lets you test a shape against the actual back wall of the house rather than an idealised one.
Level, step and threshold
Where the paving meets the door, and how many steps come down to grade, changes the feel of the whole terrace. It is also the detail most likely to be discovered late, when the layout is already priced.
Paving, pattern and colour
Unit size, laying pattern, banding and border colour all read differently at full size beside your brick or siding than they do on a 4-inch sample. A rendered concept is a cheap way to reject three options before ordering one.
What it connects to
A patio is rarely alone. It has to meet a wall or grade change, a planting edge and, if it is going to be used at night, a lighting layer.
What a patio concept does not decide
The picture does not specify base depth, compaction, bedding, jointing, edge restraint, drainage falls or frost detail, and it is not a quote. Those belong to whoever builds it. The concept exists so the shape, size and material are already agreed when the builder arrives, which is the part that normally takes three site visits and two arguments.
If the patio is one phase of something larger, start with the full backyard page instead, and see the matched before-and-after pairs for how the frames are held still.
